“I’ve heard the egoic voice, and I’ve heard the inner critic, all my life. Those two tied together very strongly, but my intuitive voice was different. This voice was unattached to the outcome, but it’s extremely connected to me. It was free and light. It was loving and it felt it only has my best interests at heart. And it got nothing out of the outcome. It just wanted me to be me and do what I was brought here to do.

I started playing with these voices. I would ask myself a question, even if would be something like, “What should I eat for dinner? Just the most basic of things. “What does my body want for dinner?” My mind would go “PIZZA” and then it wouldn’t feel clean in regards to what’s best for my body. And then something would come, like salmon with a salad and healthy protein and it would just feel airy and free, like it was the best interest for me. Whereas opposed to the egoic mind’s response would feel pretty heavy and like it had an agenda.

The egoic voice would want me to do something that my old self would do, that wasn’t necessarily as progressive inside of my healing and the knowledge I’ve built with spirit. Sometimes we haven’t fully integrated everything that we’ve learned and healed, and the mind tracks behind, wanting to self-sabotage. And so the mind would get the self-sabotaging answers.

For a while I would give in to those answers because I didn’t know the difference, and I had to go through this process of trial and error. I ate crap that would hurt my body, because I have some food sensitivities. And then finally I got to this point where I understood this wasn’t going to work over the long haul, and I had to start listening to the light voice instead of the egoic voice.

So I created these sensory bookmarks from these experiences. I started to check off in my mind what feels a little heavy or like I have an agenda. I started to check off what feels lighter, or like it’s best for me. I make these felt senses in my body and mark what feels like intuition. And just play with it.”
